Authorship is limited to human contributors who meet the press’s authorship requirements and accept responsibility for the work. Manuscripts must comply with the Human Authorship, Artificial Intelligence, and Translation policy, and material use of AI tools must be disclosed.
Research integrity
Authors must not fabricate, falsify, or misleadingly manipulate data, sources, quotations, images, or references.
Conflicts of interest
Authors, editors, and reviewers disclose relevant financial, professional, institutional, or personal conflicts that could reasonably affect the work or its assessment.
Corrections
Significant errors discovered after publication are corrected transparently. If the integrity or legitimacy of a publication is fundamentally compromised, the press may withdraw or retract it and preserve a public record explaining the action.
